The crimson silk of Lula Stocch's dress doesn't just hang on her frame. It turns her into the undisputed centerpiece of the house. With her blonde hair cascading over her shoulders, she sits with a poise that suggests a woman who owns her world. Yet the silence of the room tells a different story. It is a beautiful and hollow sort of quiet. Being single and lonely is hard for Lula. By day, she is the embodiment of competence and drive, navigating the world with a sharp mind and even sharper heels. By night, however, the adrenaline of the workday fades, leaving behind a nagging and persistent loneliness. Her feet, arched and elegant, ache after a thousand steps taken in service of a career that doesn't hold her hand at night. Despite the fatigue, the spark hasn't left her. If the phone were to buzz and if a worthy suitor were to invite her out, she would step back into those stilettos without a second thought, trading comfort for the thrill of a connection. But tonight, the screen remains dark. Rather than letting the shadows of the room swallow her mood, Lula decides to reclaim her evening. If she cannot be pampered by a lover, she will be her own sanctuary. She leans back, and she reaches down to unburden her tired feet. As her thumbs begin to work against the tension in her arches, a soft and involuntary moan escapes her lips. It is the best feeling after a tiring day. The sensation is exquisite, yet it carries a bittersweet edge. Each gesture of kneading the muscle is a reminder of what's missing. It is the heat of someone else's hands, the rhythm of a partner who knows exactly where the tension hides, and the intimacy of being cared for. She closes her eyes, the self-administered comfort only deepening her desire for a man who can match her confidence and finally take the weight off her shoulders and her feet.
