Staying For Warmth

The dazzling Angelica Heart sits elegantly on her sofa, wearing an olive green dress. With the raven-haired cutie’s pedicured feet positioned comfortably on the couch and a glossy magazine in hand, she feels like a queen in her own quiet empire. After getting bored, she settles onto the edge of the mattress, her gaze drawn to the floor-to-ceiling window that frames the world outside. It was a vast expanse of white snow that blanketed the garden, silencing the world in a frozen embrace. Yet, inside, Angelica feels utterly insulated like a warm pearl protected inside a cold, wintry shell. The silence is eventually broken by rhythmic footsteps. Dean Van Damme looks down on the tantalizing diva from upstairs, his presence creating a gentle disruption to her solitude. He looks every bit the dashing gentleman, already prepared for their plans for the day. With a soft, questioning look and a gesture toward his watch, he signals that it is time to leave for their long-awaited appointment with friends in a restaurant. But instead of reaching for her shoes, Angelica offers a silent and playful plea, extending a hand toward him and gesturing for him to stay for a bit longer. The goddess’s eyes carry a soft rebellion, conveying a deep desire to trade the noise of a crowded restaurant for the stillness of their home. Dean glances at the clock, his internal sense of punctuality warring with the sight of her radiance. However, looking at Angelica, his resolve melted faster than a snowflake. With a resigned but happy smile, he moves downstairs. He joins her in their quiet sanctuary, abandoning the schedule for the sake of a shared heartbeat. For the next ten minutes, the rest of the world ceased to exist. There is only the soft ticking of the clock, the view of the falling snow, and the incomparable comfort of being together in the warmth.
